| I’ve Just Been Violated By The MTV Movie Awards! |

Don’t worry. I’m not going to give you a play-by-play of what happened last night. MTV will play this award show on repeat 234,200 times by next week, so you'll have plenty of opportunity to watch it for yourself.
However, I will share a few of my gripes.
#1 – Who the hell is Aziz Ansari? Granted, he was way better host than Russell Brand, but where the heck did this dude come from? #2 – Stop trying so hard! For a bunch of “actors”, some bits were overly campy and predictable. For example, the “Kiss Cam” bit. How many times do we need to see two dudes or two chicks making out on the MTV Movie Awards? It was shocking back in the 90s, when same-sex kissing scenes were still considered taboo. It’s been over a decade since then, so how about trying something new? #3 – I guess MTV stands for Muth#^$*%$* Television. I haven’t heard so many implied F-bombs and bleeps since I purchased Eminem’s first CD from Wal-Mart®! And remember, kids are watching this! They should air the show on HBO® next year! Plus, MTV was promoting their other “quality” programming. With shows like The City and The Hard Times of RJ Berger (a show about a nerdy high school kid who accidently exposes his “well-endowed” package to the entire school while having to deal with typical pressures of high school) can make it on television, its official: guess there’s no filter on television anymore! #4 – I guess all the votes were casted by 10 – 15 year little girls. According to the top winners last night, The Twilight Saga: New Moon is destined to destroy the Academy Awards®! I just don't see how this movie could beat Avatar, Precious, The Blind Side, and other well-acted movies. I'm sorry.
Despite the all the controlled, amateurish chaos, there were few good points that actually kept me watching it:
#1 – The legendary Betty White. Despite recently becoming the last remaining Golden Girl star (Rue McClanahan passed on June 3), her performance was sharp and hilarious! #2 – Sandra Bullock’s Generation Award acceptance speech. She did a few little comedy bits to keep the kids entertained, but her speech was still classy and to the point. I especially loved how she handled all the tabloid-manufactured rumors.
All in all, I guess the MTV Movie Awards will never be as good it used to be. At the whopping age of 24, I felt like a fossil watching the show last night. I kept asking myself, who are these people and why are they “famous”? Now if you excuse me, Matlock is on...

I don’t watch television as much as I used to. I usually end up watching my favorite programs online when it’s convenient for me. So when I finally decided to pick up my remote control, I expected to find something entertaining to watch. As I flipped through the on-screen guide, guess what I saw? Yes, the 2010 MTV Movie Awards! I forgot that the award show was coming on, so naturally I turned to it. I haven’t seen a two-hour piece of crap since The Love Guru!

#3 – The performances were not too bad this year
