Alright I’ll give it to the Boise State Broncos. They stood up and played a ranked opponent from a BCS conference to start the season. Anyone who watched the game on ESPN Monday didn’t see a WAC (Western Athletic Conference) team. They saw a team worthy of playing in a BCS game.

For those of you that either (a) reside beneath a rock and/or (b) genuinely dislike sports, I urge you to ignore this article and perhaps move on to some of the other topics.  Anyone else, forgive me if I beat the proverbial drum and pound my chest with unrivaled conviction but, to me, LeBron James is the biggest joke in the sporting world today (and Tiger Woods breathes a sigh of relief).

Well, as most know M. Night has a very shaky track record when it comes to movies. It seems as if he hasn't had good “movie making sense” since, well, the Sixth Sense.

The Last Airbender 3D was a complete disappointment! Waiting for the bending affects to jump off the screen and provide us with the most exhilarating 3D experience ever, would have killed me had I held my breath waiting. But, there was one jaw-dropping moment at the end—when I realized the movie was over.

Grow Up!!!

Last night I got a chance to see Grown-Ups.  This comedy starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, and Rob Schneider is probably one of the funniest movies I have ever seen.  Lately Adam Sandler has been making some bad movies.  After seeing Funny People, I thought he had lost his “mojo”.  Skeptical, I went to see this movie, hoping it wasn’t one of those movies where all the funny parts were in the trailer. It wasn’t! Adam Sander has done it again!  The movie reminds me of what I do when I hang out with my friends “in real life”—act stupid and make fun of each other.

Protect the baby!

Paul Bettany plays an angel named Michael in the newish movie Legion. This movie has a great cast—Dennis Quaid (G.I. Joe), Tyreese Gibson (Transformers 1 and 2), Lucas Black (Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift) and Kevin Durand (X-Men Origins: Wolverine).

It’s a thriller about an angel trying to protect an unborn child so that he can show God that there is hope for humanity.  But other angels are trying to kill the baby by possessing people.  From little old ladies who go all psycho-spiderman on everyone to the little kid trying to act like Chuckie with a knife, this movie has the intensity of a horror film but is only a thriller.

 

I have an 2nd generation iTouch.  Apple just came out with their 4th generation update.  I would love to write a great review on said update, but Apple has decided not to give 90% of those features to my generation of the iTouch.

Apple has made it worse than it was and it is all because they want people to go buy the new one for $399 to replace the old ones, even though they may still work perfectly well.

Do not get the update if you have the 2nd Generation. You will be sorely disappointed…for realz.
